An excellent opportunity for an experienced Utility Surveyor to carry out tree surveys and inspections around utility assets, ensuring safety, compliance and quality delivery.
This is a key position within the business. You will assess vegetation risks, maintain accurate documentation and provide technical guidance to operational arboricultural teams.
Working closely with clients, landowners and internal departments, you will ensure permissions are secured, safety standards are met and works are scoped correctly before delivery.
This role suits someone with strong arboricultural knowledge who understands the utility environment and the importance of compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive tree surveys and inspections around utility assets
- Identify hazards and recommend safe, compliant solutions
- Produce clear, accurate site documentation and reports
- Secure permissions before works commence
- Ensure all works align with utility safety standards and regulations
- Liaise with clients, landowners and internal teams
- Provide technical advice to arboricultural teams
- Maintain professional communication with stakeholders and the public
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience within the utility or arboricultural sector
- Valid UA5 Utility Surveying ticket
- Knowledge of tree risk assessment and vegetation management
- Strong understanding of health and safety compliance
- Accurate record keeping and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence
