Chaffin Works is a leading arboriculture contractor delivering professional tree surgery and vegetation management across utilities, highways, commercial and public sector environments.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Utility Arborists and Climbers to support both general arboricultural operations and specialist utility works.
This role suits arborists who are confident working around live utility assets and understand the importance of safety, compliance and quality delivery.
The Role
You will carry out tree surgery and vegetation management works in utility environments, including operations near overhead and underground assets.
Working within experienced teams, you will ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required specification.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven arboricultural experience, including climbing
- Utilities experience working near overhead or underground assets
- Team Leader experience
- SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme)
- CS30/31 and CS38/39
- UA1 (Basic Electrical Knowledge and Awareness)
- Relevant UA2 qualifications
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and professional
Desirable Qualifications
- Commercial crown reduction or local authority experience
- MEWP accreditation
- Emergency First Aid at Work plus Forestry
- Chapter 8 signing, lighting and guarding
- CSCS card
